Hi, I’m cayce jeanes.
I view counseling as a sacred process that involves connection, recovery, and hope. In the process of pursuing my own personal counseling, I recognize the courage it takes for you to face what is keeping you “stuck”. My desire is to provide a safe place for clients to come, feel heard, and work as a team towards healing. I can’t wait to get to meet with you!
After living several years in New Orleans, I brought back an unabashed love of second lines, brass bands, and all things Saints. However, I’m still working on the art of peeling crawfish. When I’m not in the office, you can find me walking on the blue trail at Shelby Farms with my husband, Jay, and puppy dog, Ruby Sue.
EDUCATION
I earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor’s Degree with a double major in English and History and a minor in African and Africa American Studies from the University of Memphis.
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
I have clinical training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust-Based Relationship Interventions (TBRI), Gottman Emotion Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Partner of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialist (APSATS CCPS-Candidate), Somatic Experiential therapy (SomEx Module 1), and completed the Pure Desire Ministry Love and Sex Addiction training, which adds to my integrative approach when working with clients from various backgrounds.
